You come home at 6:30, putting on your fake smile
I’m just here sitting, alone for awhile
I hear the door bell ringing, but act like nobody’s home
Im upstairs in my room, just staring at the phone
If tears could paint a picture, a masterpiece it would be
But all it is right now, is just water to drown me
I take a piece of paper, and try to share my thoughts
Tear it all to pieces, maybe burn it in a pot
These songs are meant to help you, get lost in the moment
But tonight the only thing they do is hurt deep down and you know it
If memories could last forever, I’d always have you
But it seems right now, that there is nothing they can do
And as I fall to pieces and my hand reaches from the crowd

As I take my final pictures and throw them all away
